Varese is an Italian steamship resting at a depth range of 12–32 m (maximum 32.2 m), making it one of the more accessible wrecks in the region. The wreck sits on the bottom with its shallowest point at 12 m, giving divers a wide range of depths to explore across the hull structure.
The site is rated intermediate and is well suited to Open Water Diver certified divers with some experience — a minimum of 20 logged dives is recommended. A Deep Diving specialty is advised for the deeper sections below 30 m, and all wreck dives are conducted with a certified guide.
The wreck supports abundant marine life, with barracuda, jacks, reef sharks, amberjack, moray eels, and schools of fish reported at the site. Current is medium, and the best diving season runs from approximately April through November.
