The Fujikawa Maru is one of the most famous wrecks in Truk (Chuuk) Lagoon. The 133 m (437 ft) cargo ship was sunk during Operation Hailstone and now lies upright at a depth of around 30 m, with the deepest parts reaching about 32 m. It is often named as one of the lagoon's beginner-friendly wrecks.
The wreck is covered in corals and sponges. Divers can explore the ship's holds, which still contain parts of fighter aircraft, and schools of barracuda swim around the wreck. Batfish, lionfish, nudibranchs and parrotfish are also recorded here.
