The Naranjito is a wreck near Cabo de Palos in Murcia, Spain, a former cargo vessel that sank in 1946. It rests at about 40 metres and has become an artificial reef.
The bow is still impressive, and the rusting, decaying hull makes a good backdrop for photography. Schools of fish swirl around it, and grouper and conger eels appear now and then. Mola mola, the ocean sunfish, sometimes visit the wreck, and the best season is summer and early autumn.
It is a deep dive, and the water is cool at about 17 degrees Celsius.
