Baluarte is a beginner dive site that is continuously shrouded in bubbles, created by volcanic activity under the island. Visibility is great and the site can be dived year-round, with the rising bubbles giving it a distinctive look.
The site has a small wall covered in soft corals, which gently tapers into a slope of black sand. Scattered corals across the slope shelter a variety of marine life.
