Jemeluk Bay is a dive site located in Amed, on the east coast of Bali, known for its dramatic drop-off along a vertical wall. The wall runs from 10 metres down to a maximum depth of 40 metres, with a plateau at the deeper end that rewards divers who reach it.
The terrain is a true vertical drop-off, making it suitable for a range of certification levels depending on the depth targeted. Open Water certification is the recommended minimum, while divers wishing to explore the deeper plateau at the base of the drop-off should hold a Deep specialty. The site lends itself to drop-off diving, deep diving, reef diving, marine biology study, and underwater photography.
Marine life at Jemeluk Bay includes nudibranchs, turtles, blacktip and whitetip sharks, groupers, Napoleon fish, parrotfish, and reef fish, alongside gorgonians and healthy coral reef throughout the wall. Stingrays, angelfish, sweetlips, surgeonfish, and parrotfish are also recorded at the site.
Water temperature ranges from 26–30°C, and the bay is sheltered with calm seas, making it diveable year-round with particularly favourable conditions from April to October. Current is light and visibility is good, with the protected exposure of the bay keeping conditions consistently manageable.
