Boulders is a reef dive site in the Puerto Galera area of the Philippines, characterised by massive boulders stacked on top of one another, creating a network of gaps, overhangs, and sheltered pockets that fish and invertebrates exploit for cover. The site runs from roughly 10 m to a maximum of 29 m, with a rocky bottom throughout.
The boulder formations and their overhangs are where the most interesting finds hide — look beneath a rock and you may come face to face with frogfish or scorpionfish tucked into the shadows. The same structure shelters batfish, groupers, sweetlips, and pufferfish, while juvenile fish use the gaps between boulders as refuge. Nudibranchs, ribbon eels, cuttlefish, and thorny seahorses are also recorded at the site, alongside sharks and rays.
Current at Boulders is variable; the best conditions occur on a flood tide when there is little or no current running. This site is rated intermediate difficulty.
