Faros is a shallow cave dive built around two tunnels that run through a mountain, and it is the farthest site visited from the harbour, about 40 minutes away. Each tunnel is a good 30 metres long and wide enough for two divers side by side, although the second tunnel has sections where divers must go one behind the other.
Both tunnels are dark, so a torch is needed, and a huge cavern with many corners adds more to explore. Swell moving in from two sides compresses the air inside, which makes a sound like cannon fire and shakes the body as divers pass through. The monk seal is seen here regularly. The maximum depth is 12 metres.
