Sahara Deep is a sandy muck dive site recommended for intermediate divers, reaching a maximum depth of 30 m with a shallowest point at around 15 m. The bottom consists of seldom-dived sandy flats and is notable for holding a sunken Mustang and a speedboat resting on the sand.
The site is considered a strong training ground for divers building experience at 30 m, with the wrecks and open sandy terrain rewarding careful buoyancy control across the depth range.
Marine life at Sahara Deep is classic muck fare, with shrimp, crabs, seamoths, ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, flamboyant cuttlefish, and seahorses all recorded at the site.
