About this site

Thomas Reef is the smallest of the reefs in the Straits of Tiran, off Sharm el Sheikh, between Gordon and Woodhouse, at about 27°59.437'N, 34°27.644'E. It has deep plunging walls covered in soft coral, and a gorgonian forest at 25 metres.

You can circumnavigate it in one dive if the current allows. It is a strong-current site rated for advanced divers, and the boats go out weather permitting.

Sleeping sharks are listed for the reef, and passing pelagics can be seen in the blue in the summer months.
