About this site
The 40 Foot is a well known bathing and shore-diving spot at Sandycove, on the coast of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown just south of Dublin, at the edge of Dublin Bay. It reaches a maximum depth of around 9 metres, making it a shallow entry accessible directly from the rocks. The site has long been used by local swimmers as well as divers, owing to its easy access into the Irish Sea.
