About this site
Ait Bajo 1, 2, 3 sits along the Lembeh Strait, the narrow channel between the northeastern tip of Sulawesi and Lembeh Island, in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Dive operators in the strait typically run boats out of Bitung or the resorts along the mainland shore to reach the various numbered points along this stretch. The site is a beginner dive to around 9.5 metres, well suited to the muck diving Lembeh is known for. Divers have reported flying gurnards, frogfish, mimic octopus, octopus, pipefish, and scorpionfish here.
