About this site
Akaguri (アカグリ) is a boat-dive site off Notojima on the Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa, five minutes from the harbour, with a maximum depth of 12 m. A single rock 6 m high and 8 m across stands among scattered rocks on the sand, surrounded by sargassum. No current; suitable from beginner level. Nudibranchs are plentiful for macro divers, hundreds of rockfish sometimes hang motionless in gaps in the weed, and a skate has been sighted.
