About this site
Oguri Kogen (オグリ高原) is a boat-dive site off Notojima on the Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa, three minutes from the harbour, with a maximum depth of 15 m. A broad rocky plateau overgrown with sargassum gives the feel of walking across a highland meadow, and thousands of damselfish burst out of the gaps in the rock. Occasional light current; suitable from beginner level. From September, seasonal visitors such as sergeant majors, neon damsels and spotted knifejaw mix into the schools, and Asian sheepshead wrasse live here.
