About this site
Tetiaroa is an atoll in the Society Islands of French Polynesia, once a retreat of Tahitian royalty and later owned by Marlon Brando, lying north of Tahiti. The Aquarium site sits within this atoll's lagoon and reef system near the motu of Tiaraunu, where boat access is required to reach the passes and lagoon waters surrounding the private islets. It is a beginner dive to a maximum depth of around 13 metres, and divers here have reported clownfish, leaf scorpionfish, lionfish, parrotfish, stonefish, and triggerfish among the reef life.
