Tetiaroa is an atoll in the Society Islands of French Polynesia, once the private retreat of the Pomare royal family and later associated with Marlon Brando, lying north of Tahiti. The Pinnacles sits within the reef and lagoon system surrounding this atoll, in the waters off Tiaraunu motu.
