About this site
This dive near São Miguel features dramatic volcanic arches and caves teeming with marine life. The clear Atlantic waters reveal schools of barracuda, triggerfish, and occasional rays gliding past the rocky formations. Strong currents attract pelagics, making it ideal for drift diving. The site's shallow sections suit beginners, while deeper areas challenge experienced divers. Water temperatures range from 17-24°C, with visibility often exceeding 20 meters. The unique underwater topography includes swim-throughs and overhangs covered in colorful sponges and corals.
