About this site
This dive site off São Miguel features a submerged volcanic ridge teeming with marine life. Schools of barracuda and triggerfish patrol the area, while moray eels hide in crevices. The rocky formations create swim-throughs and overhangs, perfect for exploration. Visibility often exceeds 20 meters, with mild currents. The site's volcanic origins make for dramatic underwater landscapes. Depths range from 12 to 30 meters, suitable for various experience levels. Expect encounters with octopus and occasional rays gliding over the rocky bottom.
