About this site
This dive site off São Miguel features a submerged volcanic ridge teeming with marine life. Schools of barracuda and triggerfish patrol the rocky outcrops, while moray eels hide in crevices. The clear Atlantic waters offer excellent visibility, often exceeding 20 meters. Depth ranges from 12 to 30 meters, suitable for various skill levels. The volcanic formations create dramatic swim-throughs and overhangs. Occasional sightings of manta rays and loggerhead turtles add excitement. Mild currents attract pelagic species, making each dive dynamic. The site's accessibility from shore or boat adds to its appeal.
