About this site
Bait Reef sits off Port Macquarie on the mid north coast of New South Wales, part of the rocky reef systems scattered along this stretch of the Tasman Sea. Boats out of Port Macquarie run to a number of similar inshore reef sites in the area. The reef reaches a maximum depth of around 12 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have also reported octopus and wobbegong sharks around the reef.
