About this site
Cod Hole lies just off Port Macquarie on the mid north coast of New South Wales, where the Hastings River meets the Pacific Ocean, and is reached by boat from the town's harbour along with the other rocky reef sites on this stretch of coast. It is a beginner dive with a maximum depth of around 14 metres. Divers here have reported cuttlefish, jacks and amberjacks, nudibranchs, nurse sharks, sea turtles, and wobbegongs sheltering among the reef.
