About this site
Bannerfish Bay lies along the Sinai coastline near Dahab, a diving town on the Gulf of Aqaba in Egypt, part of the stretch of shore north of the town known for shallow reef flats leading out to steeper drop-offs. The site has a sand bottom, reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres, and is rated a beginner dive with light current. Bannerfish, octopus, and seahorses are common here, and divers have also reported frogfish, ghost pipefish, moray eels, nudibranchs, scorpionfish, sea turtles, and stonefish.
