About this site
Marettimo is the westernmost of the Egadi Islands, off the northwest coast of Sicily near Trapani, and its shoreline is known for steep rocky drop-offs and small caves along a largely undeveloped coast. Barracuda Point sits along this rugged coastline as a wall dive within the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area, reached by boat from the small harbor town on the island. It runs to a maximum depth of around 25 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with divers noting strong current along the wall. Barracuda and grouper have also been reported at the site.
