Basil Jones Cut lies toward the northern end of Ambergris Caye, Belize's largest island, off the Belize District coast in the western Caribbean Sea. The area sits along the barrier reef system that runs the length of the caye, with cuts through the reef connecting the lagoon side to open water. The dive reaches a maximum depth of around 14.3 metres and is rated intermediate. Divers have reported bucktooth parrotfish, mantis shrimp, moray eels, and sea turtles around the reef here.
