About this site
Punta Azul Canyons lies off Ambergris Caye, the long barrier island in Belize District on Belize's northern coast, close to the Mesoamerican Reef system. Dive sites along this stretch are typically reached by short boat rides out of San Pedro, and this one takes its name from the reef's cut channels and canyon-like formations. Divers here have reported barracuda and eagle rays moving along the reef.
