Batee Gla

Batee Gla is a dive site off Weh Island, the small volcanic island north of Banda Aceh at the northern tip of Sumatra, Indonesia. The waters around Weh Island sit at the meeting point of the Andaman Sea and the Indian Ocean, and are typically reached by boat from Iboih or Gapang on the island's northwest coast. The site sits over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated as a beginner dive. Garden eels are a steady presence here, and divers have also reported barracuda, lionfish, marble rays, parrotfish, reef sharks, sea turtles, sweetlips, and unicornfish around the reef.
