About this site
Big Blue lies near Veligandu in Rasdhu Atoll, part of Raa Atoll in the Maldives, reached by dhoni or speedboat from nearby resort islands. It reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Hammerhead sharks are found here, drawing divers willing to work the deeper blue water off the atoll edge alongside the channels and reef structure typical of this part of the Maldives.
