Veligandu Lagune sits off Veligandu island in Rasdhu Atoll, within the wider Raa Atoll region of the northern Maldives. The lagoon surrounding the island is shallow and reef-fringed, typical of the atoll's resort islands, with the house reef reached directly from shore. Divers have reported a varied mix of reef life here, including freckled hawkfish, lagoon triggerfish, Moorish idols, Napoleon wrasse, Oriental sweetlips, phantom bannerfish, powder blue tangs, and small giant clams, along with white-spotted eagle rays and whitetip reef sharks passing over the reef.
