About this site
Veligandu East is a reef dive site in the Maldives with depths from 8 to 28 metres and an intermediate grade. The current is light and the bottom is reef.
Divers have reported turtles, eagle rays, mobulas and white-tip reef sharks here, along with napoleon fish, sweetlips, jacks and fusiliers on the reef. Smaller animals include nudibranchs, scorpion fish and stonefish, and anemones hold clown fishes.
