About this site
Big Maho Bay lies on the north shore of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, within the Virgin Islands National Park. The bay is bordered by a sandy beach and is a well known snorkeling and swimming spot in the park, with calm, protected waters typical of the north coast anchorages there. Diving here is rated a beginner site, in keeping with the sheltered, easy conditions the bay is known for.
