About this site
Yap's Blue Hole lies off Maap, one of the islands making up Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia, in the western Pacific, within Yap's reef system and reached by boat from the surrounding coastal villages. Divers here have reported darkcap parrotfish, humpback snapper, humpnose bigeye bream, lined bristletooth, and Pacific orange-spine unicornfish moving over the reef, along with steephead parrotfish and greenfish and lollyfish sea cucumbers on the bottom.
