About this site
Sunrise Reef lies off Maap, one of the islands within Yap's barrier reef system in the Federated States of Micronesia. Yap's reefs sit in the western Caroline Islands, an area more widely known for its manta ray channels and healthy coral drop-offs, and dive operations here typically run out of Colonia on Yap Proper. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres.
