About this site
Blue Lagoon sits within French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the South Pacific, with coordinates placing it near the Rangiroa area of the Tuamotu Archipelago. It is a reef dive with a maximum depth of around 12 metres, generally considered a beginner site. Divers have also noted a tricky entrance here, with low reefs that can let waves slop over at high tide, so conditions at the surface are worth checking before getting in.
