About this site
Bodu Thila sits within Ari Atoll, one of the larger atolls in the central Maldives, known for its numerous thila and giri dive formations reached by dhoni from resorts and liveaboards operating in the area. This particular thila is a reef site reaching a maximum depth of around 30 metres. Divers have reported eagle rays and nurse sharks patrolling the reef, along with stonefish resting on the bottom.
