Medu Thila is a thila, a submerged reef pinnacle rising from the atoll floor, located within Ari Atoll in the Maldives. Thilas in this region typically top out well below the surface and drop down along coral-covered walls and overhangs, drawing currents that pull in reef fish and pelagics. Diving them usually calls for boat access from a nearby resort or liveaboard and attention to current at the start and end of the dive.
