About this site
Seenu Atoll, also known as Addu Atoll, sits at the southern end of the Maldives archipelago, close to the equator, separated from the rest of the country's atoll chain by a wide stretch of open sea. Kandihera is one of the small islands and reef areas within this atoll, where channels cut between the reef flats and the surrounding ocean.
