Canyon Dive

Canyon Dive sits on the Red Sea coast at Dahab, Egypt, one of the well known sites along this stretch of shoreline north of the town. It reaches a maximum depth of around 52 metres over a cave and overhead bottom structure, with light current and generally great visibility, and is rated an advanced dive. The site includes a genuine overhead environment, and divers should be prepared for enclosed cave sections, deep diving beyond 30 metres, and stronger currents around the area known as the saddle. Octopus, pufferfish, and unicornfish are common here, while divers have also reported barracuda, clownfish, grouper, lionfish, napoleon wrasse, nudibranchs, and scorpionfish. Lionfish themselves are also noted as a hazard to be mindful of, alongside the partial collapse of the coral formation known locally as the fishbowl.
