About this site
Cat's Meow is a dive site off Vanua Levu, Fiji's second-largest island, in the Somosomo Strait area between Vanua Levu and Taveuni. The strait is fed by strong tidal currents that nourish extensive soft coral growth along the reef systems in this channel, and it is rated an advanced dive here, largely a reflection of those currents. Divers have reported barracuda, eagle rays, and trevally passing through the site.
