Caves

Caves is a shore dive site on the Sinai coast near Dahab, in South Sinai, close to the well known Blue Hole and Bells sites along the same stretch of reef. It takes its name from a series of swim-throughs and small cavern openings cut into the reef wall, which divers thread between more open reef sections. Access is typically from shore along this stretch of the Gulf of Aqaba coastline. Verified figures put the maximum depth at around 20 metres and rate the site as a beginner dive, so despite its name and overhead features it is treated as accessible to less experienced divers rather than a technical or advanced outing. Divers here have reported Indian lionfish, Klunzinger's wrasse, net fire coral, Red Sea anemonefish, Red Sea bannerfish, Red Sea goatfish, regal angelfish, and sulfur damsels along the reef.
