Chole Wall

Chole Wall lies within Mafia Island Marine Park, off the coast of Mafia Island in Tanzania's Pwani region, near Chole Bay on the island's southeast side. The marine park protects a stretch of reef and channel habitat between Mafia and the smaller islets of Chole and Jibondo, an area reached by boat from lodges along Chole Bay. The wall itself is a beginner dive to a maximum depth of about 16 metres, over a reef bottom, with visibility generally described as great. Angelfish, damselfish, fusiliers, and nudibranchs are common here, and divers have also reported grouper, leaf scorpionfish, moray eels, parrotfish, snapper, sweetlips, and trevally along the reef.
