About this site

Conch Reef lies off the Florida Keys near Key Largo, in the waters off the southern tip of the United States. It is an intermediate reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 29 metres, with the reef structure forming the bottom throughout. The site is also known for hosting the Aquarius undersea research laboratory, a submerged habitat used for scientific missions in the area. Eagle rays are a regular sight over the reef, and divers have also reported grouper and snapper here.
