The Conestoga wreck lies in the St. Lawrence River within the Thousand Islands region of eastern Ontario, near the border with New York State, an area scattered with shipwrecks along the channel between the Canadian and American shorelines. This site sits on a wreck bottom at a maximum depth of around 10 metres, making it a beginner dive. Divers have also reported strong current here at times, so conditions can pick up despite the shallow depth.
