About this site
Aur Island lies in the South China Sea off Mersing, on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, part of a cluster of islands reached by boat trips out of Mersing town. Crocodile Rock is a wall site near the island, formed along the granite outcrops typical of this archipelago. It is rated a beginner dive, though divers have reported current running through a channel there. Divers have also reported barracuda, batfish, manta rays, and even whale sharks around the site.
