About this site
Dakuniba Pass lies off Vanua Levu, Fiji's second largest island, in the Melanesian archipelago of the South Pacific. It cuts through the fringing or barrier reef typical of this stretch of coast and is reached by boat from coastal villages along the island's shoreline. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with divers having reported strong currents running through the pass. Tuna have also been spotted moving through the channel.
