About this site
Dobuiso (ドブ磯) is an advanced boat dive 35 minutes from Chichijima in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, with a maximum depth of 26 m and an average around 14 m. A rock rising from 50 m is split by a crevasse, and dogtooth tuna hold inside it. On the open-ocean side there are bigeye trevally, schools of yellowback and dark-banded fusiliers, batfish and pelagics such as wahoo; the current is strong and the site is for advanced divers only.
