About this site
Duchalla Head offers dramatic underwater cliffs and vibrant marine life in the Atlantic. The site features steep drop-offs covered in colorful sponges and anemones. Schools of pollock and wrasse dart through the kelp forests, while occasional seals may appear. Strong currents bring nutrient-rich waters, attracting larger pelagics. Visibility varies but often reaches 15 meters. The rocky terrain creates exciting swim-throughs and overhangs. Suitable for intermediate divers due to occasional surge. Water temperatures range 10-15°C, best dived in summer. The site's exposed location means conditions can change quickly.
