About this site
El Bajon del Rio lies off the coast of Fuerteventura, in Spain's Canary Islands, in the Atlantic waters near the archipelago's volcanic shoreline. It reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is generally considered an intermediate drift dive. Divers have reported strong currents running through the site, so timing a dive with the conditions matters here. Barracuda and grouper have also been spotted along the site.
