About this site

El Emisario lies along the coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, a volcanic archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa administered by Spain. The site is built around an outfall pipeline running from shore into deeper water, giving the dive its artificial structure and name. It tops out at a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Moray eels and parrotfish are common along the pipeline, and divers have also reported barracuda, garden eels, grouper, octopus, and stingrays here.
