About this site
El Marino lies along the coast of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands off northwest Africa, part of a stretch of volcanic shoreline dotted with dive sites reachable from the island's coastal towns. The seabed here reflects the archipelago's volcanic origins, shaped by basalt flows and lava structures typical of Canarian diving. El Marino is a beginner site reaching a maximum depth of around 12 metres, making it an easy dive for the area. Barracuda are commonly seen here, and divers have also reported garden eels and stingrays on the sandy patches around the site.
