About this site
El Salto is a dive site in the Mar de Las Calmas with caves and an underwater canyon. Divers reach it by boat, and the depth runs from 0 to 15 metres.
In sunny weather it is a good place for photographs, because light rays pass through the rocks. Many different species live in the caves, and the most interesting is the Leathery Doris. Divers have also reported rays, snappers, grunts, barracudas, moray eels and octopus here, and currents are rare.
