About this site
Tacoron lies on the southern coast of El Hierro, the westernmost island of the Canary archipelago, in a sheltered cove often used for shore access into the Atlantic. The volcanic coastline of El Hierro is known for its steep drop-offs close to shore, formed by the island's relatively young lava fields. The dive here reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is rated a beginner site, making it a straightforward entry point into the island's diving.
